SAND TRAP- ConVortex

ConVortex is a complete circular sand trap with a mammoth pump for removing the sand and have equal or better performance than a conventional sand trap.

Description

ConVortex is delivered in seven different sizes and versions with diameters from 2.0 to 6.0 meters. The flow capacity ranges from 18-1800 liters per second.
ConVortex is designed for continuous operation 24 hours a day.

The design is made of stainless steel parts in contact with water, other steel parts are sand blasted to SA 2.5 and painted with epoxi with a thickness of 150 micrometers.

Drive unit and equipment

ConVortex have a mixer with paddles with a speed of 8-27 rpm, depending on tank size.
The mixer is equipped with a gearbox and the drive unit speed is adjusted by a frequency converter.

The unit is delivered with a blower to ensure the operation of the mammoth pump.

Automation

The electrical cabinet of the sand trap is optional and contains for example a frequency converter.
